capabilities – Machinery and services
From pre-production to post-processing

Taking a titanium part from concept to serial production requires more than a machine. AIM brings the engineering capability, certified quality systems and production robustness to make it happen — at industrial volume.

PRE PRODUCTION
01
Design for additive
Additive starts paying off at the design stage. AIM works with customers on Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM), optimizing geometry, structure and material distribution to unlock internal channels, lattice structures and near-net shapes conventional methods cannot produce, while keeping parts buildable, inspectable and cost-efficient.
02
Computational design
Complex parts rarely reach their full potential through manual design alone. AIM applies computational design to optimize geometry, material distribution and internal structure systematically, producing parts that are lighter, stronger or more functional than conventionally designed equivalents, and often buildable only with additive.
03
Build optimization
A good build is more than loading parts into a machine. AIM optimizes build orientation, nesting and support strategy to lift throughput, cut cost per part and hold quality steady, turning production capacity into a commercial advantage.
04
Quality & Compliance
Regulated markets demand more than good parts; they demand documented, auditable processes. AIM has held ISO 13485 since 2016 and ISO 9001 since 2022, with validated processes, full traceability and qualification documentation built for the most demanding customer audits.

post processing
01
HIP
Because E-PBF builds hot, parts come out largely stress-relieved, so most need no heat treatment at all. Where fatigue performance is critical, HIP (hot isostatic pressing) is used to close internal porosity, and AIM coordinates that step through qualified partners.
02
Quality assuarance
Regulated markets demand verified part quality, which takes accredited testing. AIM works through a network of accredited partner laboratories, coordinating mechanical testing, chemical analysis and dimensional inspection so qualification documentation meets customer and regulatory requirements.
03
Machining
Most additive parts need machining to reach final dimensional tolerances. AIM coordinates CNC milling and precision grinding through qualified partners, keeping the dimensional work under a single point of contact.
04
Surface finishing & treatment
Beyond machining, many parts need surface finishing or treatment. AIM draws on a broad network of finishing and treatment suppliers to coordinate electrochemical processing, mass finishing, manual grinding and polishing, anodizing and more, matching the right process to each part.
